I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University in 1986 and received my doctorate from The Institute for Clinical Psychology of Widener University, formerly Hahnemann University, in 1991. I have been in private practice since 1992 and I’m certified in EMDR, which was founded by Francine Shapiro. I was trained and received my certification as a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) under the direction of Dr. Patrick Carnes at the International Institute for Addiction Professionals (IITAP) in Arizona.
My clients comment on how comfortable they feel upon entering my office. With over twenty-five years of experience, I am committed to helping you resolve difficulties within yourself and within your relationships without judgment. I offer a space where you will feel safe to reveal your deepest feelings and concerns. We will explore and resolve your pain in order to heal and attain positive, lasting change. I can help you change unhealthy patterns and overcome barriers that are leaving you feeling unhappy, dissatisfied or lacking in self-worth. I am certified in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
We carry many beliefs from our past and unknowingly react accordingly to old perceptions of ourselves and the world. Therapy can help change past unhealthy beliefs and patterns. My down-to-earth style and ongoing feedback will help you work toward tackling issues that have brought you to therapy.
I’ve been a psychologist since 1991, honing my experience and expertise working with adults, couples, and adolescents. I am passionate about helping my clients, active during my sessions while offering feedback and guidance. You will feel heard and understood in a safe and non-judgmental space.
